Fleck Extension: Download it now…
I would like to invite you to download and install the Fleck Firefox Extension today.
Before you get all excited about using Fleck I must tell you that the Extension you are about to download won’t do a lot of usefull stuff. It only redirects you to a certain page which will tell me that it works.
The extension has version number 0.1 and it should work in Firefox 1.5 and 2.0 and on most platforms. If you see any errors or room for improvement please let us know by leaving a comment here. That way everybody knows what goes wrong and what are the known bugs.
And now download the extension.

if I had the feintest idea what Fleck did I might install the toolbar, but I believe that secret is still under wraps yeh ?

Hi Matt, yes we won’t launch (and unveil our plans) until the 16th of november at the Techcrunch party in New York. The current download is just to test if the extension itself is working. If you want to participate in the closed beta or just use the service you will have to wait a few more days.

So Jan Willem installed it, and it worked. Why should more people do it when it’s of no use at all?
Is it to keep us curious what Fleck (finally) will be all about?

Good question Trendmaster. Fleck is two things: client side software and server side software. We just want to make sure the client software (the extension) works well. It might work for Jan Willem but not for you because you have a different version of FF or because you are using other extensions that are incompatible.
So installing it now would be just to do us a favor. That’s all…

extension doesn’t work on the Mac…
