We didn’t win the competition. But the judge did, sort of, give us an honourable mention. She said that there were 100 companies that signed up of which only 50 were invited. Then she said “in two days we saw 45 presentations and one story”.

Made my day.

Because of the politicians that had to be fitted in (bah!) there wasn’t any time left to see the presentations of the winners on the big stage. And that was the main reason to sign-up for the contest in the first place!

So unfortunately I don’t know what the winners do…..

We are on our wat to Paris to visit Les Blogs. It is a 6 hour drive and are halfway. We decided to stop for lunch and the first thing we found was a McDonalds.

Tonight there is a diner for all The Dutch visitors of the conference so that where we are going too.

On monday we will launch a new Fleck feature and on tuesday we will present Fleck at the conference.

Diederik (Twones.com), Patrick and I are showing our stuff at Bright Live today. It is a great conference with tech, art and lifestyle in the ‘gashouder’ at the ‘westergasfabriekterrein’ in Amsterdam. Come over if you are in the neighborhood.

We are also hosting a FUBB here (Fleck Users & Bloggers Beer) at 1800 with free beer on Fleck. We are wearing our white suits but are also adding stickit notes to every object we see with ‘fleck.com’ on it. See you there…

Good news! The Fleck Extension just got approved for Firefox by Mozilla.

This means that you will be able to download Fleck from the official Firefox website. Lots of people visit that website so we expect some traffic from there.

In 45 minutes ill do a live interview, over the phone, with dutch radio. That means I have 30 minutes left for lunch. Minus 5 minute walk to and from the restaurant that I picked for lunch. When I get back Patrick and Robert are going for lunch. They are working now.

Arjen is in bed, sick. I don’t know what is wrong with him (jetlag, nerves, flu) but he threw up this morning and doesn’t feel good at all. Poor guy.

The lobby of our hotel has a David Lynch quality to it. They play old jazz and blues records, the waitresses are japanese and cute and everything is decorated in red and brown. The walls are made of curtains and they sell 400 different cookies, and icecream…

I am at a table in the back with a fresh cup of coffee, a chocolate croissant and 4 electrical outlets.

We have an excelent wi-fi connection ($25 for 4 days) and the coffee tastes great. Maybe ill stay here….

UPDATE: they switched to loud Japanese rock music. Maybe I won’t stay here after all…
